Ana Catarina de Alencar is an international lawyer and ethicist specializing in Artificial Intelligence governance and compliance. She serves as the Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer (DPO) at EIT Manufacturing, an innovation initiative co-funded by the European Union.

She holds a master’s degree in the Philosophy of Law and Technology and is the author of several publications on AI and law, including the book Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Law (2022). Based in Paris, Ana coordinates the Global Leadership Network for Brazilian Women in AI Governance and contributes to initiatives such as Trustworthy AI and Open Ethics AI.

She is also a speaker and a recognized expert in tech regulation, with solid experience in European law and policy.
